So my new to me 06 F250 has an aftermarket lift pump/separator that is VERY loud. Previous owner said it's been that way since install and new filters did nothing to the noise level when changed previously by him. I do not know the brand of lift pump or my current fuel pressure, but engine runs great and has lots of power with zero hesitation so I don't think it's lacking fuel pressure. Now when i say the pump is loud I don't mean it makes some noise......I mean it's frickin LOUD to the point you can even hear it when the radio is on and it's annoying as all hell.
Now is there any way to quiet this pump or should I just replace it with one of those FASS titanium whisper quiet units AND if I do so what GPH should I go with as they sell units with 140GPH, 220GPH and 240GPH so just want to order the right one.
I'll also be checking for the blue spring mod, but engine has all the "bulletproof" mods done already so I'd be surprised if it doesn't have the blue spring mod already.
