Stanadyne on my 1999.5, 2002, 2017, and now on my 2022. Especially in the winter and when I have to use fuel that I don't have a lot of experience with.
^^^ when I actually get a chance to get myself to tractor supply near me, I usually pick up a bottle of stanadyne. Not religious about it but when I do run an additive it is usually this.
I personally like the Optilube XPD, can be used year round and has benifits of antigel in the winter as Hot Shots EDT doesnt. It also had the best Lube properties back about 10 years ago when a study was done (beside using Biodiesel).

It makes for a lot reading for sure. I think you will be fine with any of the big additives (Opti-Lube, Hot Shots, etc). I use Opti-Lube (XL most of the year, XDP in the colder months), buy it by the gallon to refill their little bottles and carry them in a Husky bag in my bad (the bottles tend to smell when it's warm). I averaged my dose size by full tank fill and typical top-off. So I'm either pouring a whole bottle or half bottle in at a time. Sometimes I'm a little over, might be a little under. Seems to be good, 28K miles so far.
Thanks for the discussion guys. I've been running Pm22a pretty much since new. I've always drained the fuel for a sample, and have never even had a glitter of metal in the filter housing. Maybe I'll stick with Pm22a.
I would only run that in a gas application, not a diesel. I would stick to a diesel fuel additive.
