I installed a new restrosound hidden antenna, it came with double sided tape and advises not to use any metal brackets for securing it. Well after just a couple of months and just sitting in the garage since my truck is not running yet it has already fallen off. The surface has new paint and I thoroughly cleaned the surface before installing it. Does anyone have experience with securing hidden antennas? Any suggestions?
I had the same issue, removed the double-sided tape that it came with and used 3m permanent double-sided tape. As soon as I placed the antenna, I felt the difference. It's been 18 months and 5100 miles and still secured.
3M tape is the best there is.
Make sure to clean the surfaces that the tape sticks to with isopropyl alcohol real good and let it air dry before attaching the tape
