I've been away from my project for quite awhile due to medical issues and the pandemic. I'm trying to get this wrapped up and want to do it right and not have to redo anything.
Does anyone have detailed pictures where the dimmer switch would mount and the orientation of the switch? The person who repaired the floor plan didn't bother to mount it on the new floorboard.
Also, what are these mounting holes for in the circled areas? 1 looks like a small screw goes to it and the other is just a hole from the factory. And finally what are the 2 studs sticking up in the cab (see picture)?
Thanks! Hole in floor from factory Screw hole and 1 of 2 studs in cab
Let me go get a pic of the dimmer switch with some tape measure by it. BRB
Red circle, nothing factory goes there. PO did some drilling for something.
Yellow circle small hole, again nothing factory goes there.
Yellow circled stud is used to hold down the jack crank long handle. You are missing a metal clip and a wingnut.
Ok so here you go, I have the dimmer switch mounted in 2 different angles. But for the most part in the same place. Do you have the threaded stud on the passenger side also?
Old 76 parts truck has the jack handle mount studs.
And on the passenger side.
Rubber grommet next to each stud in cab floor.
Great pictures! They will really help me when I install the carpet this weekend. I do have the stud on the passenger side. I will look around and see if I can find the wingnut and bracket. Thanks for the assist.
No problem glad I could help, PM me if you can't find those brackets and wing nuts. Obviously those that I have on that 76 parts truck are just sitting there.....
