ive had many issues with this truck but now im stumped. i had signs of a bad turbo seal
(lots of oil out of the exhaust) so i just put a kc300x turbo in. replaced the pigtail on the passenger side injector harness becauss the pins were pulling out and it seemed injector 1 was bad. but after replacing the pigtail that was fixed. next cylinder 8 showed bad with an injector cutout test. warrantied it out and good to go but still running with a miss. at idle it started dumping fuel for a minute then cleared up. did a burnout in the driveway (to test under a load and seemed fine) took it out onto the road and it fell flat on its face. icp is showing 2100 psi at quarter throttle and has a missfire again. replaced icp thinking it was showing wrong reading but not the case. not sure what else the problem could be but im going insane and my wallet is now dry. please someone help im tired of chasing this problem. also, compression tests came out good......
Just stock injoectors, 3 of them are oreillys reman the rest are factory. I guess ill do another cutout test. The strange thing is it falling on its face like its loosing oil pressure, and it stopped dumping fuel out of the exhaust. But its showing high psi from the icp sensor so i dont know where it would be loosing pressure at.
I don't know who is the Oreillys supplier for reman injectors are but I do know that their injectors are garbage. Have taken some apart and looks like they only shim the armatures and solenoid, not sure they even go inside and replace the internal O rings. Maybe Bitterroot or Rosewood can chime in and give their take on them
It was a cutout test. I has it running with the valve covers off and unplugged each injector one at a time. I guess i need to put a couple thousand into new injectors next
