It's nice they are fan cooled but isn't the lens assembly sealed?
I'm running a set of the diesel LEDs reverse bulbs. They are definitely an upgrade over stock.
I had a rebate gift card to use, so I figured I would give them a try.
Couple of things, the bulbs don't fit the best in the stock plug, they aren't as tight as incandescent bulbs, but you can manipulate them a little to make them for better. I actually got them to fit and put one wrap of electrical tape around them to hold them in tight. I haven't had any issues with them not working since install.
As far as brightness, they are definitely an upgrade and they don't wash out the backup camera.
I would say I'm happy with my purchase as I can actually see the ground when backing through my dark tint.
I still think I'm going to install aux lighting mounted to an upfitter switch. Can never have too much light when backing down dark boat ramps or a camper when it's pitch black.
So, are the Rigid lights really worth $300 more than the others?
IMO, no. Having said that, I have never bought Rigid lights, but I have had cheap lights and they work fine for years providing you spend 10 minutes to waterproof them before installing. The waterproofing is usually the cause of death to cheap lights. I have a $50 42” curved LED light bar on the front of my truck for 3 years now. I spend a few minutes with a small tube of silicone to seal the end caps before installing.
I did the same to all my backup lights over the years too. I have less invested in 3 sets of backup lights and my light bar than one pair of Rigids.
Those lights look nice, but I'm having a hard time with the $400 price tag. I think the Rigid's are high quality, but that high? I found a couple sets on Amazon for a lot less. Comments on these or anyone tried them? I'll probably go with the Rigid over the chinese junk since I plan to keep the truck for a long time.
I honestly didn't care how much they cost. In my opinion, I feel like they have the cleanest lowest profile look and if they had been $600 I would have still bought them lol. Just a personal preference but I am very happy with them.

I bought a set of rigid D series pro floods for backups and they are worth it to me. They seems to be of a better quality and have more subjective light output than the cheaper lights I've tried. I have a set of Diode Dynamics on my 3/4 ton Dodge, cheap amazon light cubes and PIAA LED's on the 1/2 ton Ford, cheap Amazon light bar on the SxS, and Rigids on my F350. So I'm currently running several brands and types of lights and the Rigids are my favorite.
