88 b2 not start

88 bronco 2
2.9 auto 4x4
been sitting, replaced fuel pump relay and plug due to corrosion in plug. Went wire for wire when replacing plug end. Now fuel pumps don't kick on. Reconfigurd the wiring got it to work but it will crank but not start. Have good spark, has fuel to fuel rail. Could the injectors not be opening? If so how do I fix that also could it be the computer? Been at it for year now and running out of ideas.
also installed new injectors thinking that might have been the issue.

Haha! I'm havIng the same exact issue. 88 B2 stick. Was doing welding work and other work on it off and on over the last year or so. Finally got everything put back together and nothing but a starter running. Fired on starter fluid. So I replaced the tank pump, bench tested the high pressure pump, good, replaced 1 filter and finally got fuel to the rail, but still no fire in the engine. I'm thinking the injectors are shot but I don't want to add that to my never ending lost of stuff this $400 truck has cost me. Haha!

If the fuel pumps don't kick on....first i would look at the inertia switch (you could bypass it temporarily as a test). If that does not do it...then the ICM or even the complete distributor because of the PIP could be bad. Then there's the ECM which definitely controls the fuel pumps. I'm guessing here just because of all the learning i have done with my 86 B2. Others like Motech and Jonnyreb and Tiha should join in and they know more!

I pulled my injectors and they were trashed. Didn't atomize any of the fuel, was just wide open. Got new injectors in this evening. Plan on installing and seeing if that solves my issues. Fingers crossed
