I just re-aquired my old 1984 ranger 4wd with the 302 from my father. Some of his employees were stealing parts and I am making a list of what's missing.
1st: I need help finding or need recommendations for a fuse/relay box. I have seen after market boxes with color coded features and fuse identification, but i am not sure of the number of circuits I need.
2nd: As they cut this box out, and other wires altogether, should I plan on buying a complete harness or simply begin tracing and repairing connections.
3rd: I am not sure what was robbed from the carburetor. There are throttle cables attached but missing springs and replacement screws all over. Should I buy a whole unit and replace top down?

This truck was running when parked 15 years ago due to front end work needing done, but both fuel tanks were operational. I am treating this as a new project and kot continuing where it got left off that many years ago.
IF ANYONE HAS IMAGES OF THEIR RELAY PANELS OR WIRING DIAGRAMS I WOULD APPRECIATE SHARED KNOWLEDGE. I love the old bull nose and want it on the road again.

 

Do a search for fuse box diagram. For the Bullnose there are dozens of drawings and the wiring connections. I did a quick search for yourvehicle, and found some. Looks like the same actual box. All the diagrams I saw had some empty slots and only a total of 19 slots if you wanted to use a generic box.

 

Lots of trucks in the Oklahoma wrecking yards. That's where I would be heading. I plugged in a fender, but that just gives a hint they may have the truck sitting in the yard and it may have the harness/fuse box. I would not mess with one of those aftermarket things.
