Hey a huge question does any one in here have any pictures of where there vacuum lines run to? And also anyone have pictures or a good explanation of what vacuum lines you definitely need for the truck to run. See I have a slight problem. Where my truck won't run and it's a vacuum. Problem somewhere I had someone helping me do something on my truck one day and he removed all the vacuum lines and didn't mark anything well we tried putting them back together with the diagram we had but the previous owner had already deleted so much and combine a few lines I would think and I don't know where they went I've been trying my best to figure it out but I still haven't and really need this truck for my buisness so pictures would really help me out alot thank you for your help
Matt we need a little more information like the year, model, motor size, EFI or not and if you have to go thru smog, I hope not if things have been removed.
But just off the top of my head needed vacuum.
Power brakes
Auto trans if you have one
PCV
Dist. advance if you have one
HVAC for AC control
EVAP if you want that to work but not really needed

You need to give much more information. There are too many variables - engine and transmission combinations, 2wd or 4wd, federal or California emissions and model year.

Ok so it's a 1980 f350 cab and chasis dump truck with a 351 M with a 4 speed manual tranny no smog needed I'm in PA and no efi
Vacuum lines missing are not going to keep it from running, unless the ports are wide open. I would take the lines off and plug them (you can cut short pieces of line and put screws in them for plugs) and see if it will run. Make sure you plug everything, no vacuum leaks.
If you get it running, then we can go one by one and get the lines hooked back up.
P.S. make sure you inspect down low behind the carb where it's hard to see. There is usually a very large vacuum port back there for the power brakes, if that is open and sucking air it probably will not run.

Thank you im going to do that tomorrow i just towed it to my house on a trailer with my other truck so i will have it available to work on now i have done alot of aork to this thing already my thinking is either its the vacuum lines being put in the wrong places or it could be the dist. I have a brand new one just havent had the time to put it in yet but now itsnat my house i should be able to get it in there i wish someone had a picture of there truck or something like that so I could visually see what's supposed to go where that'll help big time
I would change the title of your thread to make it more specific to your needs.
There is a member here (ctubutis) who has an '81 F350 with a 400, the same basic engine as your 351M........with a title change you will probably catch his attention. He might be able to help with photos.
With your truck/circumstances you'll need very few lines....lucky!
