I'm looking to get a set of rims, everything I'm seeing is for fairly new trucks. The lug spacing is the same 6x135 on multiple generations, on all Ford's I've ever had I could take any wheel off any same size Ford years apart. Is there a difference in hub size I should look at before I go driving all around? I don't think the rear will be an issue since the stock wheels are not hub-centric, the fronts might not be also but the hub is fairly tight, was there a hub change and only wheels from this generation will fit or will others fit? Note I'm not looking to get a larger set of stock Ford wheels but an aftermarket set that was made for later generations.
The metric conversion I get for 5 on 5.5 wheel pattern is 5 on 139.7mm. The pattern on our trucks is 5 on 5.5 or 5 on 5 1/2. 1997-up f150's went to a different metric pattern, they are 5 on 135mm like you said. Those wheels won't fit the early models.
I may have measured wrong, looks like its supposed to be from center to outside not center to center. That would make the ones I bought a 5x150 I believe. I ordered a tool to measure the lug spacing. Hopefully I can find some adapters to make them work.

Those are toyota or Lexus wheel pattern. I think you will find you can't willie-nillie make any wheel fit your truck. Lots of things to consider including the offset, the center hole diameter, and of course the lug pattern.
I have forgotten what truck you have, but it will be a 5 on 4.5 pattern or a 5 on 5.5 pattern.

It's an 84 f150 4x4. It's gotta be the 5x5.5. I'll have to get hub-centric adapters but In this day and age I don't imagine that will be a problem. If I can't I'll just have to get a different set. Once I get the tool to measure I'll see what I can find. I should have looked into how to measure correctly before or tried to fit them before I bought them. I just measured center to center saw the 5.5 and figured it was good.
