when i was growing up and even today when i talk to oldtimers, any truck bed that has its fenders on the outside of the bed box is a "stepside". it is part of the american vernacular...everyone one know a stepside ... a flareside to me was half tons in the early 90s that had it written on them...yea, i know someone will post an obscure page from a manual 60 years ago but i will always call my 66 f250 4x4 a stepside.... and anyone in the car world will know what im talking about...get the knives out, im ducking....lol
