just a guickie post can anyone tell me how these values from forscan look especially the ipr % dont know how well you will see them or not 97 f250hd 7.3l thanks
19% at 185 RPM is what i see
You have trouble starting?
thats 1838 rpm and no problems starting out on highway runs great atleast i think it does it is just runs rough at a stop light and idle and also surges.
What is fuel pressure when cranking and when running and when at WOT in 3rd?
If any air is in fuel or oil system it can take 100 miles to get it out if you have worked on it.
IPR% at idle and at WOT run charted is more helpful. Also include inj pulse width and ICP pressures
i checked fp pressure a while back had 65 psi at idle i have 10.16% ipr at 680 rpm icp varies from 3900 to 4200 kpa wot i had 34% ipr and @ 16000 kpa on icp the highest ipr i have had is 34% coasting downhill i habe had 7% ipr dont have a way to get fuel pressure while driving
rough idle can be a few things
weak cylinder
no sealing valve
weak lifter not pumping up
IPR can stick
bad IDM
bad inj harness
inj orings worn
worn injectors
Been calibrating guage and my new chinese liguid filled guage is 10 psi off so my pressures are 10 psi higher hooking up to forscan all the tests it will let me do it has passed except park brake switch and # 4 cyl on contribution test about a month ago i had #4 and #5 on contribution test but used diesel kleen i think might have helped with it dropping to 7% on ipr i am leaning towards that being bad does that sound about right?
