Transmission slipping
I own a 95 F150 with a 5.8L engine and E40D transmission. recently I’ve had issues with the trans slipping especially when you press on the gas to get going, and it’ll slip in reverse or in 1st or 2nd gear. In normal drive it’ll hard shift going up, but down shift fine, it also takes a relatively long time to change gears from drive-reverse and etc.The OD light isn’t flashing when the problems occur so I don’t have a way to pull codes. don’t think these would be the issue but in the past I’ve replaced the speed PSOM, and TPS and checked all the fuses and none are blown. Any advice would be awesome

Hello, and welcome to the FTE forum. Mark Kovalsky is our resident transmission specialist, and he'll probably pop in to give some advice.
In the mean time, Id suggest checking for codes. Even thou you dont have any lights, you may still have codes stores which can lead you in the right direction.
I cant remember if it 1995 or 1996 was the first year of OBD2, but you have a trapezoid connector under your steering wheel, you have OBD2 and you need a code scanner.
If you have an "EEC TEST" connector near you driver side hood hinge, you have OBD1 and you can check for codes using a paper clip. Here is a tutorial on how to do it. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...aper-clip.html
Unfortunately, Slipping in FWD & Reverse gears is a sign of a weak transmission pump. There is a test port on the side of your transmission where you can hook up a gauge and check your transmission pump health. For a small fee, a transmission shop can do it and advise you on the problem. If you continue driving it while its slipping, you'll destroy the transmission and it'll need a complete overhaul. If you fix the problem now, you may be able to get away with just a new pump (if that's the problem).

If you've driven more than a couple of miles with it slipping you've already destroyed the transmission.
This truck is OBDI. You can pull the codes with this: www.troublecodes.net/ford I recommend this as the first step to finding out what's wrong. Chance are it's time for a rebuild or replacement transmission.
