I say they just build 'em like mine is now. That way I wouldn't have to spend all the time and money building it the right way.

Welcome to the forum Rob. I'm definatly happy to see more people with lifted excursions here!

Rob, I know you had some problems with a 4x4 shop you were dealing with. Were you able to straighten them out?

Great looking truck, are those 10" or 8" wheels?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 12-Jun-02 AT 11:52 PM (EST)]Thanks for the compliment on the truck.

Stan: Here you go. Wheel Size- 16.5 x 9.75. MB Motoring. I can find out the model or part number if you like. Tire Size: 35x12.5R16.5

My lift is 3.5" not 2.5" as I stated earlier.

One time the right front wheel rubbed while turning hard right on a steep driveway entrance that bounced the tire, but just enough for me to notice. I can't lift it any more or it will not fit in any 7'-0" parking garage and maybe my next house if I ever move.

Thanks for the wheel/tire info, I like the stance with the tires filling up the wheel wells, but not sticking out much.

:-)

I never liked the idea of painted bumpers until i saw 2002expy's Excursion. Man, that looks soooooo good.
I still think Ford should make a shortbed type of Ex. like the Bronco. Solid axles and availabilty of V10 or PSD. Oooooooooooooooohhhhh BABY!!! Of course, then it would look sooo good, that there's no way they could call it an Excursion. Instead, they could call it the Ford Exclamation.
Sorry, had to get atleast one comment in. I finally stopped laughing from this post. Let the good times roll.

You guys have some great looking rigs and some great ideas for future Excursions. As simple and stupid as it sounds, I think Ford should add a "Cancel" button to the cruise functions. I hate having to hit my brakes to cancel and using the off button kills the resume feature.

I need to know where you got your Westin Chrome plates stainless steel nerf bars (Tube Steps).
It is a matter of life or death, not really but it is urgent.
westin is saying they do not make them anymore for the excursion.
Cabellas has the same part# for the superduty crew cab as does JC whitney.
Can you help me????????

I bought them off e-bay for $24.99. No kidding! I will get you the name of the folks who sold them on there. I still have the box with the return address at my office. I'll look tomorrow.

You can get them from your Ford dealer. They are not exactly the same but this model year ('03) Ford will offer an Off-Road package for the X that includes step tubes rather than the boards.

Yeah, I would appreciate the phone number or something. I don't want to get the stainless steel ones because someone said they will rust.
Whats your take on stsinless steel accessories????
$24.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are worth $400 BUCKS!!!!!!!

They were sold on e-bay by www.autoaccessories4less.com. I liked their customer service.

Sorry for the delay. I honestly forgot about your request. Oops!
