Hi Guys,
New member here. I just purchased a 1995 F 150 standard cab short box 4x4. It's the XL model. Crank windows, no AC, rubber floors and automatic trans. It's a rust free truck from Oregon with 120,000 original miles in what I would call 7 out of 10 condition.
While inspecting the truck I noticed a component I have no idea what it is or does. On the rear wall of the cab below the rear window, exterior of the truck there is a rectangle thing bolted to the cab. It looks like a weight or something. Appears to be factory as the truck is original paint and never been apart. What is this thing? Anyone know?
supposedly the large panel of the back wall will flex and cause vibrations that will drive you nuttier than you already are.
the weight is supposed to stop the vibrations.
notice my location?
i play nuttier than a squirrel turd.
people leave me alone.
and when they don't, i start drooling and pet them while mumbling things like nice kitty..
