I am getting rid of a batch of body parts and before I list them I'm looking for opinions on value.
1-1974 cab for a Super cab. It is an a/c cab with the controls and box. The previous owner replaced the cab corners and front cab mounts, started to sand it down and quit. The floors are great, just needs cleaned up, a little body prep and paint. It is a shell with no glass or doors.
2 sets of doors, pretty sure they're both complete, in pretty good shape, some rust on bottoms, not bad.
I have the whole front clip from a 78-79, fenders and hood are in descent shape
2 rear windows, 1 windshield, and multiple super cab windows.
Any ideas on what the parts are worth? Should I sell it all as a package or sell them all seperately?
Depends what part of the country you are in. Are rust free parts hard to find around were you live?. I payed $250 for a 1978 supercab non a/c. Had replacement cab corners on it and a decent paint job, nice full interior all glass. but i had to replace the front floor pans. this included the whole front clip also. this is in Wisconsin
I've had a pretty rust free sc no ac cab in pretty good shape for sale for $500 for a while... and thats including clean title and the frame its sitting on.
Its very hard to gauge the value of just the cab from the selling price of a complete truck... esp without looking at the truck. The cabs on those trucks might be rusted out, its just too hard to tell from craigslist pictures. plus craigslist is not the greatest thing to compare prices on, since so many people throw stuff up there just to get rid of it. What goes on craigslist for $500 in arizona might go for $1500 in california or $2500 in michigan.
Having said there, there are some decent deals on some decent looking trucks up there and I'm glad i don't live anywhere near those.
