Does the 2004 xlt with 5.4 have an expansion valve or orifice tube

The info sticker is missing from my truck, how much freon does it take from scratch with evacuation of system

The black beach sand is the desiccant sack has ruptured, the color and the chunks of material are internal compressor pieces. Your compressor is shot. Make sure you flush all the lines, condenser, evaporator AFTER you remove the old compressor.

Once all the lines and other components flush clear, then install new compressor etc, evac and recharge.

What are the actual numbers (low and high sides) including testing conditions? Outlet temp? EVAP inlet temp? Clutch cycling behavior?

Did you replace the compressor condenser, and accumulator? Flush the lines and evaporator?
