Does the leveling front kit effect geometry/steering, handling?
I want to do the front end leveling kit to my '19. My freind warned me bout messing with the factory geometry of the front end.
However I want my truck to look level.
So how important is it to have to regard this sentiment? Does it effect steering, tire wear, or handling?
Plus it is time for new tires, and I want some bigger tires. And wheels too. They re 17" and I dont mind that size because I can have more sidewall, in the name of more flex/cushion.
But I really do like the 20" Ford factory 20" wheels from the '19 era.
Do tall 17" tires give a smoother highwy ride then 20" tires?
Thanks All
More sidewall absorbs bumps better. 20" with less sidewall will have better performance and response.
Highway ride, you probably won't notice a difference unless high cross winds possibly.
How high of a level are you considering? Through my own experience toe in is usually the only alignment concern. Yes, I've done many installs, on my own trucks, and the redneck kids in my area, both spacers and coilovers.
If you want it level, level it. I've done several and nobody has ever said anything about issue with steering, handling or ride. It will be able to be aligned with no issues if you go to a good shop.
One thing I would say is to not go over 2" or you risk the cnace of it looking/being higher in the front.
Ok thanks, I just want to go only high enough to appear level, 2 " is fine by me.
And I ws wrong my wheels are 18" not 17".
I reckon its appropriate to get the level lift and then get wheel/tires?
Thank you all for the information.
Get some General Grabber P275/70R18. It’s a 33.2” tire in an SL load range. Plenty of sidewall and will ride well. It’s the same tire used with the F150 Tremor. It will look and ride great, and those tires will fit your current 18” wheels.
ReadyLift and Autospring make great leveling kits. The have a slight offset engineered into them to keep the upper control arm from hitting the spring.

You can get tires/wheels before the level, if you're going much larger, I'd do the level before, then stick them on.
