Cheap Gas Cap
I know, I am old. I know, we probably don't need an actual gas cap. But I get worried when I am the Do-it-yourself Car wash and the gas door is blown open from the spray. (I have an XL so no locking door) I worry about dust and bugs too. So I went searching for a gas cap. None to be found. What I did find was that a 2 inch End Cap for PVC pipe fits pretty well. It's only three bucks or so. I added one strip of electrical tape to the inside so it had something to 'grip' to. My truck is white so it matched the color of the truck too. Win win.

Ford capless fuel fillers have been around for many years, you've got nothing to worry about.

2009 1st year of the capless for F 150. Ford does sell a locking plug for it, or they use to.

I saw that locking plug from Ford but my 2021 doesn't have the indentations needed for it to work.

Yep, and in those 15 model years,a nd literally millions on the road, it has been a complete non-issue.

It,s crazy to me no locking fuel door or even a gas cap- I'm new to this new 2023 truck- seems crazy

I went from a 1995 F-150 to a 2021.....so yeah more than that...
