Block Hugger Headers???

I am in need of block hugger or shorty headers for my 400 block. I have put a 400 in a 1966 galaxie and no truck headers seem to fit , hence the need for block huggers or shorties. I have not been able to find any for the 351c,m or 400. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Have you thought about making your own headers? Buy the flanges to bolt to the block, some tubing (find access to a bender) and have at it.

have you tried www.sandersonheaders.com. They make block huggers for Cleveland engines. I have a set of FC3s on mine. The right header exits above the starter.

I got to thinking, what about headers for a Torino? Some of them had 400's...just don't know if they had headers for them...

In my experience pretty much any long tube header is very much application (vehicle) specific. Even good quality headers made for very specific engine/year/model combos are difficult to fit into the vehicle they were made for and require modifications to the vehicle or engine accessories to fit them. I think his only option is going to be shorties like Sandersons or custom made like you pointed out.

I think I am gonna get the Sandersons for the 351c. I got all the measurements now I just have to check them. Not as badly priced as I thought it would be either

Make sure you get them silver coated. I didn't now mine are on their way back from Jet Hot, after being silver coated. The dark coating that I used generated too much heat under my hood. I had a lot of trouble with percolation because of the heat.
