I know I've seen a thread on this somewhere but I can't seem to find it. I have a 66 4x4 F100 and I'm looking to go to disc brakes. In the interest of doing that and not having to deal with kingpins I was looking at a later 70s high pinion 44. Will everything bolt in? Wasn't there some issue with caster when you make that swap?

I swapped a '77 1/2 Dana 44 from an F250 with factory disc brakes no problem on my '64. Just needed to move the left shock tower 2 inches. Spring perches lined right up. I think caster and camber were fine. Shop never said anything after getting an alignment after I replaced the tie rod.

It should bolt in without any issues. Not sure if the caster will change but they make poly bushings to adjust caster if needed or possibly try to get strut bars along with the axle.
All good, it was the first year for coils which is why info is so tough to find!
That's the impression that I got, it appears axle width, frame width, and track width are identical for all of the trucks in that Era but I could've sworn I saw a thread on it once upon a time!
