(Another) motor mount question

I’ve got two new motor mounts for a 300 I6 (from a 1981) that is going into a 1970 F250 4WD. Westar brand, EM2332 and EM2331.

The driver’s side one (2332) doesn’t want to fit. There’s a protruding arc of metal that hits the block where it “lips” out for the oil pan mounting surface. Has anybody else had this happen? I can grind it down, but seemed weird if I were the only one (unless the 300 block changed in some way related to this area and I didn’t know about it).

Hey Guruat12
Sorry so late to the game
I had the same issue and after wasting time at all parts houses talking to people that did not have a clue
I just rebuilt mine.
Drilled out the old stud, inserted a same size grade 8 bolt with washer and tac welded to the underside.
Works great. Forgot Mine was a 79 f250
See attached pictures

Okay, I have a fix. I managed to find a NOS Anchor branded one on eBay and tried that (other members have reported it fitting in the past). Worked perfectly, and is noticeably different in its lower clearance.

As a note, here’s what I tried that did NOT work (all for the same lower clearance reason):
Duralast (AutoZone)
Power Torque (O’Reilly)
Westar (RockAuto)

NAPA couldn’t get their brand for me, they were back ordered, so I couldn’t try those.

I also got a set from the salvage yard that I knew fit because they were bolted to the same block casting as mine. I kept them just in case and for comparison purposes if I have to grind on a new set in the future.

Anchor has two types.
2331 and 2332 or 2441 and 2442
Possibly earlier versus later in production year.

Tried the 2441/2442 just in case, and they’re very obviously different, they fit the 1980-ish trucks.

They DID however fit the block for what it’s worth, just didn’t fit the chassis for my application.

Sorry! I missed that you are working on a 1970 f250. Those numbers work for a 77 model F150. At least they did for mine.
