86, 302 EFI, auto. New iac, tps, plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, starter, solenoid and wire, temp sensor, positive and negative wires, vacuum can, battery, throttle cable. It's cutting out randomly. What am I missing? Thanks replaced TFI also
Welcome to FTE
were the parts replaced to try and fix this?
When you say "It's cutting out randomly" is the motor shutting off like the key was turned off?
If so replace the TFI in the dist. it is what the wires plug into on the dist.
Yes, actually like it's getting shut off and back on again. I haven't pulled an distributor in a while. What's the best way to do it so when I put it back in I just have to retire it? Thanks.
Of course my emissions light bulb is broken on the dash. Will have to replace it tomorrow. Thanks for the help
These old trucks do not have a conventional check engine light. The emission light is for something else. Here's how to pull the codes with a testlight.
Scroll down in this link and it explains it all. If you are going to keep this truck, it will be beneficial to know how to work on it and pull the codes from the computer.

So the distributor was replaced before or after this shutting down happened?
