Looking to buy 2 kayaks, 12' basic sit on top. I have a hard top tonneau cover over my 5.5 bed (so bed rails and racks are not an option. I tow a travel trailer, so they can't hang out. I do not have the moonroof. My ideal is a roof mount, that will carry two basic 60# kayaks. Ideas? Links or pictures appreciated. thx
I was thinking a front bar mounted over cab, and a rear design, maybe homemade that would let plates slide under tonneau, have side bars and top bar. Thoughts?
We have two sets of Swagman EXO Aero cradles. We can clamp these to the Rack-it lumber rack on my SO's Tacoma, and with a minor mod to the clamps, they work on our 2015 Super Crew with the 6-1/2' box. Two of our kayaks are 17', so there is 6' over the rack, so there is ~~ 5.5' hanging out front and back (when they're on the F150). We also tow a TT, but the distance between is "just enough" to make it work.
