Right so I have a 1988 F250 with a 460. Its got a new battery, new solenoid, and new main ground and main positive wires, however I am unable to get it to start, it just clicks really fast when I try to. I made sure all the solenoid wires are in the right spot, and the starter itself has a new ground as well, I'm not sure if my starter got fried or if a fuse blew or what when I replaced the grounds. What's the best way to test the starter if I need to?
Ok you turn key to start it just clicks. So to eliminate the starter if it cranks and starts at the solenoid you know the starter and starter cable and ground are good.
That will lead to the problem being from Ignition switch to the solenoid Yes? Not from Ignition switch all the way to the starter. Got to start diagnosing somewhere so I chose the solenoid. Now if you wish to start by taking the ignition switch off the column feel free to do so.
The fore mentioned video shows you how to test the starter.
even so, it's a good idea to isolate the starter as per the video so that you can confirm whether or not it is the issue. also, i see new relays selling for as little as $6.00US. if you are buying cheap relays, that could be an issue.

And new does not mean it's good.
The little trick the video shows with the screwdriver to the solenoid/relay didn't work, it just sparked and did nothing
Then I would disconnect battery check the cables between solenoid and starter, solenoid and battery and the battery cable ends and the grounds before I pulled starter to have it bench tested.

The main ground is new, the solenoid ground is new, the starter ground is also new, and so is the positive battery cable, ans the terminals are also new

Well, checked all my connections, they're good, all the larger wires are new, main ground, solenoid ground, and starter ground, as well as the positive wire, terminals are new, solenoids new, batteries new, starters new, got it tested and it was bad, and it's still doing the same damn thing.
1) Does the motor turn over by hand using a socket on crank bolt? Just eliminating a locked up motor.
2) Is it the correct starter for that engine?
Give us some details on what happened and why you made all these changes. Was truck running before and then just would not start. Is it automatic/manual all we know now is 88 F250 w 460 motor.
The solenoid/relay is brand new, I've replaced it twice now even, so that shouldn't be the issue
i have replaced 6 brand new starter relays that were bad out of the box. the only way to know for sure if they are good or bad is to bypass it and see if the truck starts.
