What is this thing?
Hello everyone,
I was working on my truck today and noticed that this part had dry rotted and broke, problem is that I don't know what it is.
Truck details - 1996 F150 XL
Part in question
The yellow circle is what I'm trying to figure out, the blue line represents the hose that broke and where it went. I'm pretty sure that it's a hose and not a wire, there's nothing in it at all.

yep...mine was disconnected too. (87 ford f150 5.0L). truck came from vegas...so no heat needed there.

What does heat have to do with anything? It is the fresh air door. Not the temperature blend door.
