The yellow circle is what I'm trying to figure out, the blue line represents the hose that broke and where it went. I'm pretty sure that it's a hose and not a wire, there's nothing in it at all.
It's a recirc door actuator. Where I live about 75% of trucks are driving around without it connected and the drivers have no idea. Generic 1/8" vacuum hose, or fuel hose for 2-stroke engines, will fix it.
How hard is replacing the hose? Peel back the cover on the harness to find a good section of the hose. Run a piece of rubber vacuum hose from there to the actuator.

yep...mine was disconnected too. (87 ford f150 5.0L). truck came from vegas...so no heat needed there.
