2Xs on the left kit. The pan gasket material is better than the “generic brand”
Stand a female end of a 3/8” extension up in a vise to back up each mounting hole and with a ball peen hammer dimple back each oil pan mounting hole to compress the gasket evenly.
What about the filter gaskets ? The left one is metal and the right one is paper? Which one should I use?
I have no idea which one is preferred on those. That just seals the filter correct? If it leaks a little bit I would not think that would be a very big deal, since it's submerged in fluid all the time outside and inside anyway.
Cheap kit on the right, quality kit on the left, simple as that.
Very interesting, because the shop owner told me that the rebuild guys always choose for he right one... So i decide to get 1 of each instead of 2 Acdelco's...

Every bit saved on parts is more profit and as DaveF said if it is in fluid who would know if the gasket did not seal?
