I see you have the common broke lift end of the door handle and then you flip it around to get it to work, until you can get a replacement.

OH YEAH ...I did put a carpet like dash cover on it, but it just lays in place with Velcro and it covers to the windshield. I initially had my extra gauges there, but moved them over to center after my leg hit them. My TC lever just does pass the left end of the 3 gauge set in 4L, but it might then interfere with the floor shift. I did use black on my otherwise red interior door panels. My headliner was already a red diamond stitched furry stuff, but it's faded to pink now.

I just put the dash pad on after this picture.

I painted the 6 speaker screws black so they don't show. The panels are sealed on the back. The top of the panel fits under a lip formed by the long polished lower piece of the top section.

That green is a rare color from what I gather, but people have had good results with SEM products. I used their paints, even one for leather on a Gold Wing Corbin seat. Follow their instructions, their stuff works super.

While you are in there, add some sort of sound deadening and/or thermal insulation. I used Restomod Membrane and it does both. Heavy jute padding the carpet will also help a ton.

And if you soundproof and carpet the back of the cab wall, here is a slick trick using a spare headliner trim piece.

This is a great idea.

Not cheap, but I had a Snowden seat made for my '77. Also had door panel inserts and the headliner done to match. I will have someone local cover my dash and redo my visors.

that third aftermarket one is okay, but still too modern. I’ll still stick with oem style.

We are in the process of rebuilding my 79 150 single cab, and we have a 2002 f250 extended cab that is totaled. Our plan is to take that front seat out and put in the 79 because we like the seat so much and the seat in the 79 right now isn't in very good shape. So my question is if any of you have any previous experience with doing this.

It is in no was going to be a direct bolt in, but I did it to my truck. Depending on the seat style it may be pretty easy, or may require a fair bit of work.
I put a new take out front seat, from a 2003 or 04 Super Duty in my 79 single cab. I fell in love with the seat, and it was new, and only a couple hundred bucks, so the process began.
My seat was a 3 piece unit, and I had quite a bit of fabricating to do, but the end result was really nice, and worth the work.
I basically made a frame to bolt all 3 seat pieces to, and then bolted my tracks to that. The left and right seats dont move independently, as they originally did in the Super Duty, but I was not after that. I think it could have been done, but did not want to work that hard.
Unless you can find a front seat, from a 97 and older truck, its going to be a custom fab job either way, so you may as well use the seat you have, and like.
My seat did not have the shoulder belts in the seat, as some do, and I think that would be a deal killer, if I were going to do it again.

Ok thank you, Our seat is the 3 Piece unit with the seat belts in the shoulder so we will eliminate the seat belts that came factory in the 79 corner posts. We don't really care if the seat moves or not just as long as we have the seat in there. And the amount of work doesn't much matter as long as we can do it because we have plenty of time to build mounts for the seat. The old seat is not an original seat from the dentside it has been replaced before from out of a OBS ford we are pretty sure. So do you think we could take the seat rail off of the old seat and fabricate them onto the 02 seat?

With some quality adhesive and some padding and material from a fabrics or art and crafts store, you can recover the dash pretty cheaply and it looks way better than those carpet covers. Plus it gives you way more options on colors and design. You can do it right in the truck, but it's much easier if you pull the pad.

The seat can be, and probably should be made to move. Sorry if I made it confusing, on how I did my seat.
The seat originally moved independently, and the center stayed in fixed position. When I was finished it was all mounted on the frame that I built and both seats, and the console/ center seat, and both seats, all moved as one unit.
Hope this helps clarify how I did mine.
