My project came with a Saginaw 7802644L mounted on the outside of the frame rail. It seems that it is a Chevy product.
Does anyone have some technical sites or insight that I can to decide which one would better suit me? 2wd or 4wd? Do I use a 2wd gearbox and change the sector shaft with a 4wd version?
I will also need a new pitman arm so what is the best way to measure for one as I don't have a stock pile to test fit?
What kind of truck are we talking about? I ended up keeping my manual steering gear in my 72 f250 and electric power assisted steering(EPAS). This route, I didnt have to change any of my steering linkage. Crossover steering would be different though.
