Real Off Road Package

Enough with these baby FX4 packages! how about a real off road package that includes:

-A suspension to clear 35" tires
-Bilstein 5100 series Shocks
-Detroit Lockers/ Lock Right (no factory LS garbage)
-4.10 gears
-Warn Premium Hubs
-Manual 4x4
-Standard 35" BFG AT's (if those crappy hummers have them standard, why doesnt a real truck?)

im talkin a real OFF ROAD package!!! ya know what i mean?? . its a little unpractical probably for the majority who get these packages, but for the ones who do, deffinately worth it.

Hmm, I doubt Ford will ever do this with a truck that was designed to haul, tow, and work all of it's life.

Have you checked out the Ranger FX4 Level II?? Man now that is a sweet little trail truck! Ford did a GOOD job on that little sucker.

I do agree on one point though, an electric selectable locker would be a nice option. . .I'm sure if they did include a locker as an option, they'd only allow it to function in 4Lo kinda like the Toyota's.

Yeah and by the time Fords lawyers got ahold of it, it would end up being a "lowered" POS with 360^ bumper guards and 5000 warning labels all over the interior of the cab

· 6.8L V-10 Engine

· Electronic 4-speed Automatic Transmission

· Preferred Equip Pkg 617A

· 9900#GVWR Package

· 8-inch SUPERLIFT Lift Kit

· 16-inch Weld “Cheyenne 8” Aluminum Wheels

· 38-inch Parnelli Jones Tires

· Kodiak Electric Steps

· Dual Front Shocks

· K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit & Air Filter

· BIGFOOT SSX “Cyclone” Custom Graphics Package

· BIGFOOT SSX Interior Package, with each truck numbered & autographed on dash plaque by BIGFOOT creator Bob Chandler

BIGFOOT 4X4 SSX Ford pickup trucks will be available primarily in 4-inch lift and 6-inch lift versions with F350 body style options of Regular Cab, Super Cab and Crew Cab, in Ford factory colors of True Blue and Sonic Blue. BIGFOOT and Potosi Ford also plan to offer BIGFOOT 4X4 SSX trucks in 2004 Ford F150 and Ranger versions. All BIGFOOT 4X4 SSX Ford pickups will be individually customized and many options will be available. Lift height availability will depend on the bumper height laws of the applicable state.

Same concept as a conversion van. The truck is factory built and then the extras are bolted on. This truck doesn't roll off the line with those mods.

Dealers around here do lifts, wheels, tires, etc....too...........but they sure rape ya on the price of the mods.......

An example of what a local dealer charges is this: 4" Pro Comp w/ dual shocks, 35/12.5 Procomp ATs, AR or Ultra wheels, billet grill, exhaust tip, and carbon fiber dash and door inserts for the low price of $7200.00 installed........and they have sold quite a few of them....all V-10 SC SWB F-250s.

All could be done waaaaayy cheaper on your own or by an independent shop......only advantage of the dealer installed options is that the dealer warranties it all.

If you are going to have a complete package like that, I would like the option of 4.56s for the V-10 and ESPECIALLY the V-8 with 35s.
Oh yeah, new Dodge HDs can fit 35s on stock wheels with absolutely no rubbing (on a crew cab, short box, Hemi anyways).
