1979 Bronco D44 and 9" Trac-lok
I will be rebuilding both LSD soon and plan on putting the correct Friction modifier in the rear but am considering putting no FM in the front. The only time front 4x4 will be used is when it's needed in deep snow.
Will not adding a FM to the front hurt anything?
Would it be better to add 1/8, 1/4 or 1/2 the recommended amount vs none?
FYI I do not foresee any use of 4x4 that would not allow for extremely slippery surfaces and deep snow.
The main reason I do not put a lunch box locker in front is the LSD housing will not accept a lunch box. I considered a spool but am afraid one tire might "hook up" and cause a broken axle.
Thanks
