I also have the multiple holes in the crossmember. The shocks that came on the truck looked good but the front shocks were too short on the rebound and that was a disappointment. I thought I could use the rear shocks because they mounted on the GM axle in about the same place as they would on the 9". After all the above help I moved on and welded the Mid Fifty shock mounts to the axle. All looked good and then when hooking up the old shocks one of them started leaking. Bottom line is that all those good looking shocks are toast and will go to the trash bin. Now I'm going to start a new thread asking about specific shock numbers for my truck. Thanks to all the above who have helped.
