My SIL transported her explorer on a trailer from AZ to TN. On the way she needed to start the car to move it on the trailer, dead battery. She bought a new one, same deal, totally dead after one day. There is a blinking blue light down low on left side of dash - is this related to the phantom load? No owners manual, packed away somewhere in her stuff. I need to help her but 6* here this morning!
It might help if you explicitly identified the subject vehicle...
I would have, but I do not have that info now. Until I can get the registration from her, I won't know. She does not recall the year, so I made my best guess to put it in the correct forum. More info later when I can get a response from her. In the meantime just trying to be proactive.
Hmmm, that is what the Ford service writer said. However, the vehicle was purchased new and supposedly has had no additions/accessories installed. I will be able to look at it myself when temps get out of the single digits. It is a 2017 model. Thanks for the responses.
Based on info given to me, I was wrong about info regarding any additions to subject vehicle. It has a Lojack. So I suspect the blue light is a low battery indication. Still have to figure out what is draining the battery. Nothing is plugged into USB ports. Tomorrow I'll look for other possibilities.
