If you end up putting that HPO tube in and now it idles ok, I would be looking into buying another HPOP right away.

There are a lot of products on the market for that application but the one that I have installed on my truck is solid stainless steel and it's formed in such a way as to absorb expansion and contraction of various parts of the engine as it goes through it's normal thermal cycles. It will yield to those minute changes in size and position for a very long time and not develop any leaks because of that. The one on this picture was put on my truck ten years ago or so, and no issues whatsoever. There are others who say they are a junk design, but bottom line, the right side HPO pressure is not monitored on the 7.3 design, and I disagree with that design. This balances the pressure between the two heads and then you can be assured that both sides receive the same amount of attention from the PCM.
Here's a link to the place that I bought it from.

already have the crossover. just messed with the truck again and at idle I unplugged the injectors one at a time and the only diffrence was in no 7 and that one is spitting oil real good compared to the others.

Don't make sense how that would only effect one side. But hey anything is possible. Quick way to check is get a 5 gallon jug put a couple gallons of fresh diesel in it. Then get a 5 foot long piece of hose and stick in it then clamp on back side of the fuel pump. The drain the bowl and get fresh fuel in everything and fire it up.

IIRC the feeds from the HPOP to the cylinder heads are also separated from each other. If you have a badly bleeding o-ring in the passenger side head, that would give you the same symptoms that you have described. Raise the RPM, now the HPOP has enough volume to overcome that leak and the injectors start to fire. Don't know why they keep firing after you return the engine to idle. I guess an easy way to verify is to install a pressure gauge on that head and see what's up.

Put a gauge on it. You can hold back a decent amount of pressure with just your thumb over a 1/4 inch hole.

I'm not understanding this no7 is firing 1 3 and 5 is not firing all are clicking from solenoid's but no oil from spouts on 3 5 7 so the wiring is good to those as well as 7 right? is it possible to have 3 injectors from full force about a year and a halve old to fail at the same time internally? my next step is to pull those injectors? and send them out to be tested? reeving it to 3000 not working to get it to smooth out now
