Would anyone care to share a picture of how a brake booster and master cylinder are mounted? I've got to get mine bolted up and it came to me in pieces.
What year???? There were some differences through the years?
When I swapped out my '77 F150's 11" single diaphragm Booster/MC for a '78 F350 9" dual diaphragm Booster/MC as I made some good changes in my brakes. I also added larger Thunderbird front calipers. tbear853's 1977 F150 Brake Upgrade - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums (ford-trucks.com) My pics which showed using photobucket are gone there, but I have them.
Did you buy some new parts for the truck? Or are the parts you're working with right now those that came off of your truck specifically?
Hopefully the latter, due to the many variations on that theme that tbear mentioned. And not just over the years, but within the same year.

replacing existing parts. the chap i bought from had taken the bracket off hoping to use it on another turck but that idea failed. so my truck has the original parts, they just have to be put back in.
