I have an 03 EB and just put it in the ashtray spot. Just pull out the ashtray like you would to dump it and in it's place goes the unit. I don't use the ashtray for anything else. When I'm done, I unplug and put it away until needed again. I'll take a pictue later today if you would like to see how it looks

Sure, post it if you would. Unfortunately this one(2006) does not have an ash tray. The center console/cup holder must replace it.

You could modify the space (have a car audio shop do it if you're not comfortable with cutting plastic). Or order an ashtray retrofit from Ford.

I mounted mine in my ashtray permanently. A little work with the install but sure is a handy spot now.

Eric James beat me to it! My setup looks similiar but not quite as neat. You can see the black wire come from the unit to under the dash.

Mine is mounted under the dash, just right of the steering column. Have not had any problem with knee clearing it and it has worked just fine. Another option you could consider is mounting on top of the dash. I personally don't like it up there but some people do. It can be setup to come on just ahead of the vehicle brakes and that keeps things in line really well. I have a hensley hitch and that is an important issue. Once set up properly, you ought not to ever have to manually operate it unless you have an emergency or just want to check things out before pulling away for the first time.

Thanks for the compliment. It took me about 2 minutes to hook it up - 2 hours to install it.
