new to me 1951 ford f3 does f3h18c228** does the vin show the paint code ? i want to paint the interior door jams before i put the new weather stripping on it is red and have searched and found out it may be vermillion or coral flame red . also if it is do you know if it is the same as the red on the 9n tractors of the 50 era thanks any help is appreciated. sure i will have many more questions.

The code you posted looks like a blend of serial number and assembly code
Is this from the firewall near the cowl or frame rail? Only the firewall stamping can tell you the body color IF it is there.
Interior was painted the same color as the exterior.
Red on trucks in 51 would have been Vermillion
Without knowing for sure, I doubt it is the same as tractor/implement paint from the same era. Like trucks, most tractors from that era have been repainted.

Your vin does not include the paint code. For '51, it will identify the series, engine, year and assembly plant. It should be located on the right side frame rail near the motor mount. The firewall stamping is not the vin, but the production code. Sometimes it shows the series, depending on the plant. Typically it lists the assembly plant, color code and assembly date. If you can post a picture of the firewall stamp, we can decode it better for you. Sometimes the stampings are light or partially done and can be easily confused with the wrong letter/number.
