Shorty headers hp gain?

I would tend to agree with David but any increase in air flow from a manifold change is still trying to push air through a tiny straw downstream. Any gains will be diminished significantly. To get the full potential of those headers, even shorties, you need to also replace the factory y-pipe/converter assembly.

I saw 7rwhp years ago on a dyno for a 302, stock cat assy, high flow muffler, stock flat tappet shortblock. Pretty lame but the camshaft is junk as are the heads.
351W should gain a bit more I figure.
