Well then the active valid X PIN # you gave them and they recieved “approved” it. Had he not taken that from you he would have an out. He took it and noted that. Game over. Anything else is really deceptive and worthy of a fight.
I would go in unannounced person and take the tact that they just misunderstand and it was approved already to give them an out of agreeing it was misunderstood. That may actually be the case. If they balk, it would be game on for me. You dont take copies of the X pin number and note it to verify its valid and then balk.
Saved me $3k on my 23 250 Lariat Ultimate. Again, Just go in unannounced and calm, sit down with him with copies of everything looking very organized..be firm but polite..and be glad to be a huge ***** if they dont call it a misunderstanding and agree to take it. I wouldn't talk on the phone and let him get a story together with the manager. Catch him off guard a little.
Id guess the sales guy is just trying to max his own cut on your truck after the fact but the management will likely override him to save rep for the dealer if you make a big stink and show them the note. Go over his head if you have to. If that doesn't work call Ford and show them the copy where they acknowledged getting a X pin upon ordering.
You can buy some nice mods for $3k ! Good luck.
That will be my plan Monday after talking with Ford. Right now the dealer is pointing the finger to Ford, but I am not buying that, but still need.to verify that before the fun starts. I am going to ask permission to record the conversation with the Ford rep and see how that goes. I would really enjoy playing it back for the sales manager, and.if I can't record the call, it might be more fun to just call them from the dealer on speaker phone. As I get older I am starting to enjoy stupid games
This is true, not all dealers participate in the X plan program..But this dealer did when the truck was ordered
The 2 dealers where I ordered my '22 F-350 and '22 F-450 were ordered with X-Plan last year. When i asked a few weeks ago about ordering a 2023 super Duty on X-Plan they both said they will no longer will take X-Plan or any A/Z/D Plans on a '23 Super Duty truck.

2 Weeks ago I requested a buyers order showing my cost for the X-Plan F-450 that was ordered and built, but not yet shipped. I wanted to get in writing the Price Protected X-Plan price. It took multiple calls and texts to filially get it in writing. I don't trust dealers.
Now they are telling me I must finance with them for 3 months. When they sent me the monthly payment it was at 12%. I will be paying cash and I'm sure it will not be pretty at closing.
My F-450 X-Plan price is $8,374 BELOW current Sticker price. The dealer has MY TRUCK listed for sale on their web site for $10,000 OVER Sticker
FlyIt sure sounds like they are just adding obstacles on trying to get you to walk away so they can cash in on it. Having an advertised already is unbelievable. That sounds like the worst kind of dealer possible. If they stick to those demands I would make their life miserable online and I hate that tactic.

Sounds like the dealer I am dealing with. I will start out with them tomorrow with a new PIN and just basically state that I have a new issue PIN from so that would mean Ford approved the X plan. I know there story will change at that point and the truth will come that Ford isn't the issue but they are the ones not accepting the X plan. Talked with a buddy last night who happens to be a lawyer, and he believes that what was written on the order sheet would be enough to take to court.. If that is the case, I am just butthole enough to pay his retainer and tie the VIN up in court and the truck can rust to the ground before I would settle with them
Guess your not a good customer of that dealer ship. If you don't take the truck they'll sell it for more then you would of gotten it. So either way they're getting greedy.
Tell them to take a hike. Go someplace else and screw them. Find a dealer that will work with you and want you for a new customer.

No I would not have considered myself a customer at all up until this point. All my previous vehicles had been bought out of a dealership in Tulsa. I made the decision to try and purchase this truck from a local dealer and support local business rather than outside. The ordering process went well through them so thought I had made a right choice. Shame on me, but I will own that part.
You are correct, I should go get my deposit back, which they have already so kindly offered..lol and walk away. Not sure I am wired that way though

So your letting them put it too you while your bent over? Buy another one somehow some where. Maybe a used one. I would do that. I'm the type I get pissed and I don't care if I don't get my new truck. I'd go buy a chev..for sure. I've had alot of issues with my Fords really over the last years.
Try going over the salesmans head. My dealer's owner will listen for 5 minutes he said to complaints.
Hate to suggest it…but as disrespectful as the deal is for Fly…if they dont back off….calmly and thoughtfully leave dates and discussion details and names on line and be unemotional when you chose the words. Start with facebook and Google reviews.
It will cost them and save others like us from being victimized by their lack of integrity. Stay calm and factual no matter how pissed off you are in your review.
People will get it. It will cost them more than they gain on being unfaithful to you. Thats all they will understand is the money part if thats how they are run.

It is unfortunate to say the least.
Its honestly not about the truck now, it more about principle. Yep that pissed part! I have a perfectly good 2019 2500 Ram right now with less than 30,000 miles. I ordered the 350 to pull my toyhauler because at 20,000 lbs the pin weight was way to much for the 2500. I ordered the 350 a year ago, and have since sold the big toyhauler and went back to a smaller one because at 46' just to many places we go that it will not fit. Yep multiple mistakes on my part over the last year.
When I get the chance to go back in Monday I will try and get with the GM and see what his point of view is and if he is willing to honor the deal that was made, if not, I will go the owner route. Remaining calm isn't a problem for me and sticking to facts is all a person has to work with. Speculation or outright lies never works out long term. Always keep a smile....lol. It also is a lot easier to do that now because I really don't care if I get the truck or not. My wife has always claimed I am an *** at heart, and she is more right than she knows. Its more of a game now than want of the truck.
You are correct on the social media part, stick to facts that are able to be documented. Alway been a believer that karma will eventually make things right.

This is easy to solve. Unless the contract states a penalty for early payment, fiance it, pay it off in full the next day. Dealer won't get their cut, and you wont be paying high finance rates. Alternately they cannot force you to finance the entire amount, so pay off 99% and finance the rest, pay it off the next day.

I’ve paid off Ford Credit loans 3 days after delivery in the past when I financed to get $500 rebate. I had to finance $10k to get get rebate.
The issue in Florida is you have to pay “Dock Stamps” to the state at 35 cents per hundred financed so financing $90,000 gets expensive.
BUT timing has changed. My ordered F350 SRW is expected to arrive first. I will trade my 2020 350 in on it and when the 450 arrives trade the 2022 350 in on it to save sales tax. The 450 dealer really wants the 22 350 for his lot and was willing to pay more than I’m buying it for under X-Plan. If I trade the 22 350 in on the 450 there will be little difference to finance.
What’s even Crazier is 6 weeks ago I traded our 2020 Nissan Leaf in on a 2023 Leaf. After tax credit it cost me only $400 or so. Wednesday I’m selling the 23 Leaf back to the Nissan dealer for $6500 less than I paid for it but after factoring the tax credit I make $1000.
And this Friday I pick up a new 2023 Tesla Model Y that I ordered 10 weeks ago. I was going to push the delivery into next year for potential tax credit but Tesla offered a $3750 discount on ant model S or Model Y deliveries this December.
My driving days are numbered. I’ve been diagnosed with a blinding eye condition in both eyes that has no cure and is untreatable. I don’t know how much longer I will be able to drive.
My sales guys said they would honor my X-Plan pin and price protect my '23 order. He didn't put in in writing, but I saved our date stamped text message conversations where he specifically stated those things along with a picture of his business card he sent in those same texts. He also put my X Plan proof/info into my order folder that they file. I informed him my pin will most likely be expired by the time the truck gets delivered and he said it wouldn't be an issue, but I will pay for another pin before delivery in case they refuse the expired one at time of delivery. I am going to go ahead and plan for shenanigans at time of delivery but hopefully they honor what they told/texted me.
I must say he is the most grouchy sales rep I've ever dealt with in any field in my life (he's mid 50s in age), he just doesn't seem to like people at all, he literally shoos them out of the dealer and doesn't like customers talking to parts, service, or anyone else even though the customer is actively spending money in those departments, this is after they have finished talking to him. Another sales rep told me "that is just how he is." I wouldn't be surprised if he is gone by the time it gets delivered. I try to be a good/easy customer as I've worked sales, but that guy makes me feel very unwelcome and acts like people literally aren't allowed inside the dealership.
Ordered a F350 King Ranch in December of 2021 and was ordered using the X plan. Fast forward to a year later. I got an email stating the truck was shipped and should arrive next week. Went by the dealer today to see what the X plan price would be and was informed that X plan didn't exist any more and sticker price would be the price. Does anyone know about X plan being discontinued or did the dealer find a way to get a truck they couldn't get allocated any other way?
I think all A, Z, X Plan expire 1 year after they are generated. I could be wrong
