Wanted to share a cheap solution to get a rolling engine cradle. Really nice to store your spare engines on.
You’ll need the following 1 2 x12 minimum 64” long 1 2 x 4 minimum 30” long 2 furniture dollys, the small ones from harbor freight or Home Depot Box of wood screws
Cut the 2 x 12 into 2 32” long pieces Cut the 2 x 4 into 3 pieces approximately 9.25” wide The 2 x 12s will go along the engine from front to back and the 2 x 4s will be the cross members, one in the back, one in the front and one under the shallower section of the oil pan. You will also need to clearance the driver side 2 x 12 for the oil filter adapter.
I turned the 2 x 4 under the oil pan 90* to help support the engine weight. The dollys roll fine under the weight of the engine.
