2018+ 3rd Row Powerfold Headrest Removal

2022 Expedition XLT. Anyone have any good info on removing the outboard headrests on 3rd row powerfold seats? On my 2011, it's inconvenient but doable. For the 2022, i can only find limited info. Some sites say not removable of powerfold. Others state they can be removed but it involves partial disassembly do the seat to disconnect the cable that retracts the headrests. Purpose is to get a forward facing car seat or booster in the rear seat. I know I can make middle work but I would prefer to put the seat on the Right side to keep the 60% side available for cargo or seating. Looking for tips. Thanks.

Well I figured it out myself. Pull off cloth. Then remove all of the 1/4" screws. Pull backing plate off. Which will probably break tabs. Disconnect the cable. Now the hard part. Everyone else I've seen uses paperclips. But I used a small Allen wrench. The inboard holes for the spring clips were useless. The outboard board springs work: you can feel affirmative engagement of the spring clip. I did t bother with the inboards. Take out the center armrest. Use it for leverage and pry up on the headrest support while pushing in on the outboard clip. It will come out. Pull the cable through and save all of your pieces. What a pain.
