I'd suggest going with the mildest setting with the shift kit. No need to try for tire shredding torque if you haven't done any other upgrades to your truck. Also, make sure you get a high quality transmission pan gasket and an o-ring for the transmission dipstick. MAW do it right and do it once.
I spoke to him once and he was an interesting guy to visit with, and opinionated to say the least, but his kits were the absolute best of the best, and maybe still are.
Since I have not stayed up with trans work and am not involved in this anymore, so I cant speak to that with certainty
As far as I remember there is only one option on the SK6 kits, (except for the diesel option) as all of their stock kits were intended to reprogram the trans and fix known issues and short comings that stock transmissions had from factory.
These kits did just that, and did it really well, but these stock reprogramming kits would not make a dash pounding race transmission.
At the time, they did offer more aggressive off road or race kits, but I personally never used one in a C6, only in a C4.
I have used the stock SK6 kit and added to that a B & M kit, that come with a new valve body separator plate, and modified the valve body, per instructions in both kits, and modified clutch drums, sprag clutches and, and the intermediate band servo, to build a hard shifting dash pounder that worked its butt off, in several heavy tow rigs and farm trucks that I built them for.
Long story short, if properly installed, these kits will bring a smile to your face every time you drive your vehicle. Follow the kit instructions to the letter, and dont tighten the side cover plate bolts until the valve body halves are torqued in the correct sequence. The kit, will supply the tightening instructions.
Best regards,
