Installed a set of rubber tubing, new sprayer in the tank, and the tank itself last night. It sprays and I sprayed deicer this morning.
the passenger side sprayed the cab directly above the windshield and dripped down the windshield. I assume I can pull the piece out of the cowl and bend it slightly to fix that.
Both the left and right are more fountain streams than any kind of spray. They only impacted about a fist wide streak vertically down each side of the windshield.
Is that how it’s supposed to be? I assumed the nozzles would be more duckbill shaped to spread it out horizontally. This is like a single shot out of a water gun at one particular spot.
My 78 LTD and Fairmont had the wiper squirters attached to the wiper arm, made a fan pattern in front of the blade. Hose run inside bottom arm cover, around pivot and into cowling. Worked great. 80's Ford fox bodies went to 1 nozzle on cowl, think they called it fluidic, that system would drench a windshield.
My car sprays a fine mist that reaches the entire windshield.
My newer Chevy truck has the nozzles in the wiper arms.
My 76 F-250, like yours just sprays a steady stream.
After I turn the wipers off all three get the job done.
