I bought a 1979 F150, 351m, 4wd, auto, ac, ps. The prev owner hired a master mechanic (well he claimed he was anyway), to swap out the carb with a TBI, they installed a brand called Affordable Fuel Injection. It came with complete electric fuel pump, TBI, electronics, ignition as a complete kit.
The engine runs rough when in gear, but idles and revs up great.
I'm now thinking its a vacuum issue, because the so called master mechanic removed several vacuum components, I assume it for the emissions.
So my questions, I'm okay with bypassing the emissions because those components are old anyway and may the issue with vacuum leaks.
My question:
Does anyone have a diagram of only the "Required" components and vacuum lines I would need to get my truck running smooth again?
