Need new Lug nuts

Swollen caps was the problem. They rusted behind the cap and would not fit in the socket without hammering it in.

I don’t think I’ll replace these with the factory two piece ones. Seems to be the design, maybe the problem. I found there is a class action suit against Ford for this issue. I guess some will sue for anything.
Here are 2 links for aftermarket ones that are not clad type like the OEM. I bet these may rust over time.

The best solution would be solid stainless steel, no rust or swelling.

They look good today and nobody thinks about it for years so the companies don't worry.
