Electric 4x4 Conversion

I have a 93 5.0 F150 E4OD. I’m curious how hard would it be to convert from a manual shift to one of the push buttons? I’d pull the switch at the junkyard and weld over the hole where the shifter was. Do you guys think this is doable or not worth my time? Not really sure what else is involved. Thanks.

What are your reasons for wanting to go to electronic shift?
I find the least complicated way to do something is usually the best. No motor, wiring, or buttons to fail. No having to test circuits or switches when it doesnt work, just look underneath and see why the lever doesnt move.

I agree. I’ve had both in these years. When I had the push button I wished I had a lever. Now that I have a lever I miss the button. It’s your standard grass is greener scenario. Just more curious than anything.
