Rocker fulcrum guide HELP!!
I recently did a head gasket change and had to remove my rockers to properly clean them. Before my head gasket change I had a knocking noise coming from the rockers being to high off the valves and its gotten worse since the gasket change. I noticed my rocker guides are warped so I suspect they aren't seated as far down as they ought to be. Do I actually need the guides? Because I can't seem to find replacements anywhere and most part stores I go to have no clue what I'm talking about.
Can you take a few pictures of what you are talking about so we know and can offer what should be done to fix it.

Those channels must be in place to keep the rocker arms from turning off the valve stems.
Are those the guides you are talking about?
A picture would help.

those are the ones! The only label I've been able to find for them is 'rocker fulcrum guide' and I can't seem to find replacements anywhere..

I'm not sure what you mean by "warped".
Can you post a picture?
Even if a channel is bent somehow, the channel metal is only .040" thick and should sit flat after you torque the pedestals down to 20 ft lbs.
