Okay so I bought a 2012 F250 XL CCLB 4X4 last week (I mean a week ago today) and this morning I hit a deer!
It smashed in the front bumper (no big deal I was already planning to put a ranch hand bumper w/grill guard on it . (wish it was already on it.)
Busted the left side of the grill. (again no huge deal, can get one of those reasonably)
And busted the left side headlight. SO my thoughts are if I am replacing a busted headlight why not go ahead and upgrade while doing it.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Morimoto LED's or HID's are the gold standard if you are flush with cash. You could also go with a projector style light, there are plenty of options out there. Morimoto

Those are nice but, DAMN I ain't sure I wanted to spend that much out of pocket right now as I am already buying a ranch hand bumper w/grill guard, and a grill out of pocket! (on top of JUST buying the truck last week, the bank account is getting a little low right now!) But yeah I might just go ahead and bite the bullet and spend it. I really like having good lights and it doesn't make sense to buy some now and turn around and replace them in the near future!
Replace the broken headlight housing with a new.or used OEM housing(no cheap aftermarket housings) and install LED bulbs in them, you'll easily get 2x the light output even if you don't select the most powerful bulbs... and pay no attention to all the contrarians that claim LEDs don't work right or increase glare, if they are installed and aimed properly you won't experience any downsides.
