Battery cable Reset?

If you need to reset the BCM or electronics on a super duty, can you pull the negative cables and let it sit a few minutes and hook it back up? I noticed my consule light and door lights are staying on for a long time after locking the truck. Funny thing is, I can pull on the passenger door handle after its locked and they immediately go out. Thanks!

Those lights stay on for a pre-determined amount of time after you turn the truck off and pull the key, nothing at all to worry about.
