Vent Tube Thread

I have a 9" and I have no idea what it's originally out of.

Someone used a solid bolt to hold the brake line vee to it. Now, of course, the axle is not vented.

All of the vent bolts that I have been able to find (Ford and Mopar) are 7/16-20, and the bolt I took out is 7/16-14.

Did Ford ever make one with 14 t.p.i.? I can't imagine that someone would change the thread and ultimately defeat the vent by using a solid bolt.

I'd prefer the type that has a cap on it, as opposed to the type that has a nipple with a rubber hose. It's in a street/strip Duster.

That housing isn't very thick, and should've been 7/16 20, so it wouldn't take much to twist a 7/16 14 bolt into it, might try a 7/16 20 and some lock tight, see if it will snug down tight.

Thanks.
I just ordered this: Mopar Rearend Vent Bolt
I'll carefully add some weld to it, get it turned to size on a lathe, and then run a die on it to 14 t.p.i.
